Restaurant Buech

For the historic Restaurant Buech high above Lake Zurich by Andreas Caminada, we developed a new visual identity. In contrast to the rustic character of the interior, with its wood and ornament, we chose a bold and fresh graphic approach. The colours and shapes feel slightly unexpected and a little edgy, while still finding their place within the restaurant’s floral and iconic atmosphere. Many of the restaurant’s original details became important references throughout the design process. Familiar and nostalgic elements were translated into a more distinctive visual language, while existing forms and motifs were reinterpreted to create new meanings.
